Making a Purchase

It is easy and secure to purchase your sheep walking experience in Caerphilly. Choose a date that is available and how many people you would like to book for. Once you are happy click ‘checkout’ and you will be forwarded to the secure payment system. We accept PayPal, debit and credit cards through our website.

If you have any problems with your purchase, please contact us at Duffryn Sheep Walking and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Contact Us

Cancellations and Refunds

If you have to cancel your booking you will not receive a refund under any circumstances.

If Duffryn Sheep walking has to cancel your booking because we deem the weather to be unsuitable or conditions too dangerous to walk in – we will contact you to find the best solution, for example, by changing the date or issuing a refund.

Health and Safety

Our walks are considered to be very safe by us, provided you and everybody included in your group follow our advice, guidance and instruction at all times. However, all activities are undertaken at your own risk.

The walk will require a moderate level of physical capability for you to be able to participate fully. We must be made aware of any medical condition or physical impairment which may affect your ability to participate. This includes visual or hearing impairments and pregnancy. If you are unsure of your ability to participate fully or unsure of which option to choose, please discuss this with us, at the time of booking.

Participants of our sheep walks in Caerphilly must be willing to listen and take instruction prior to handling the animals at all times. If you are unable or unwilling to do so, you will not be covered by our insurance policy and therefore will not be allowed to handle the animals. A refund will not be available in these circumstances.

All sheep walks are outdoors and involve the handling of animals. We advise that you dress appropriately, taking the weather and nature of the activity into consideration. If a participant arrives with inappropriate clothing or footwear for the walk, we reserve the right not to allow them to handle the animals or walk for reasons of safety. A refund will not be available in these circumstances.

Booking in Children

Our walks have age restrictions for health and safety purposes. Children must have reached the minimum age of 10, on the day they participate, to lead a sheep independently. Any children under 10 must share a sheep with a paying adult. By paying and agreeing to our terms and conditions you are agreeing that any children booked on, on the day of your booking have reached the respective age required to take part.

We do not take children under 16 years old on our sheep walks in Caerphilly without at least one accompanying, paying adult.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome, but still need to purchase a spectator’s ticket. This is because everybody on the walk is able to benefit from the experience and is also able to learn about the animals.

Additional Information

Duffryn Sheep Walking reserves the right to decline a booking request, in the interest of safety or participant suitability, even if this becomes apparent on the day of the booking or immediately prior to a walk setting off. A refund will not be available in these circumstances.

Please note we are also a working cattle and sheep farm and cannot allow unauthorised persons to wander around.

Facilities

We have a washroom and a toilet on-site with baby changing facilities available.
